Contemporary education is at a turning point. Rapid technological advancement, the redefinition of learning environments, and the growing complexity of learner profiles have driven the need to thoroughly and evidence-based re-examine current teaching practices and pedagogical models. In this context, research and innovation in education play an essential role: they shed light on problems, offer frameworks for understanding, and open pathways to innovation that enable the sustainable and evidence-based improvement of teaching and learning processes.
This special issue of Learning Styles, titled Education 360: Proposals for Innovation and Advanced Research toward Holistic Learning, brings together academic contributions that represent a broad, pluralistic, and multidisciplinary vision of educational innovation. The selected research not only addresses active methodologies, emerging technologies, or assessment dynamics, but also explores dimensions that are less visible yet crucial for holistic learning: attention to diversity, emotional well-being, the personalization of educational pathways, and the building of inclusive learning communities.
