Abstract

In this new special issue, we promote the dissemination of Learning Styles proposals that include the methodology of Learning Styles, Teaching Styles and the design of new lines of research and application that enrich the range of didactic possibilities in teacher-teacher interaction. A review of the current debate on contemporary issues in education reveals that there is little common ground between teachers, parents, theorists and policy makers. However, there seems to be agreement on the need to improve education, to promote quality, to increase creativity, to foster inclusion, to overcome discrimination, to work cooperatively, to integrate technology into learning. Another issue is how to implement these ideas, what concrete proposals are offered and what budgets we can count on. The Learning Styles methodology offers concrete proposals and suggestions for overcoming discrimination, favouring inclusion and adapting teaching to the characteristics of the student
