Participation in compulsory secondary schools in Castilla-La Mancha: current situation and challenges for teacher training

The participation of the different agents of the educational community in Compulsory Secondary Education is a complex process, but without a doubt, a factor of educational quality. For this reason, in this article we present a quantitative investigation that allows us to know the real situation of educational participation in the institutes of the community of Castilla-La Mancha, in order to offer a framework for improvement on the participation practices that are carried out there. develop.
The results of this study allow us to see the decisive role that teachers play in favoring the participation of the rest of the educational community. Given that both the participation of the families and that of the students are insufficient, as is the opening of the center to its closest environment. That is why we consider it opportune to emphasize those challenges that the promotion of school participation supposes for teacher training.
