En el marco de la investigación sobre la identificación y análisis de los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de Licenciatura del Politécnico Jaime Isaza de Medellín, fue necesario realizar una adaptación del CHAEA, proceso que se describe en el presente artículo. El instrumento fue aplicado a estudiantes de magisterio corroborándose, después de su aplicación, resultados semejantes a los encontrados en otras investigaciones similares, y que a partir de otras estrategias utilizadas para la investigación, se confirma que sus resultados corresponden a las descripciones que Alonso, Gallego y Honey señalan para cada estilo.
