USING GOOGLE DOCS AS A COLLABORATIVE TOOL TAKING LEARNING STYLES INTO ACCOUNT
Abstract
Findings are presented of a study that aims to know the perceptions of students using Google Docs as a tool to work collaboratively on academic papers (o academic projects). The study also explored if learning can be fostered grouping students according to their learning style. The study was conducted with graduates of an online program in education during their first semester. Data suggests that most students have a positive perception of Google Docs, reporting it encourages collaborative work in on-line environments. The study also found that grouping students by their different learning styles did not necessarily help students to improve their performance.
