ESTILOS DE APRENDIZAJE Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO DE ESTUDIANTES DE SEGUNDO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN GENERAL BÁSICA

El objetivo del presente trabajo es asociar los estilos de aprendizaje al rendimiento académico de estudiantes universitarios que cursan segundo año de Educación General Básica en la Universidad de Concepción, Chile. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa, bajo un diseño pre-experimental, de tipo correlacional descriptivo.
Los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes fueron medidos mediante el cuestionario de Honey-Alonso (CHAEA), mientras que el rendimiento académico fue medido a partir de calificaciones. Los resultados evidencian asociación entre el estilo de aprendizaje teórico y las calificaciones más altas. Se sugiere la necesidad de conocer, en forma preliminar, los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes con la finalidad de adaptar las metodologías de enseñanza para así mejorar el rendimiento académico.
