En el marco de un mundo cada vez más globalizado, la tecnología juega un papel esencial y determinante en la vida de las personas. Lo que antes simplemente era Internet, ahora está evolucionado a lo que llamamos el Internet de las Cosas que involucra más elementos y más complejos, de manera que cada vez utilizamos más recursos tecnológicos en todos los ámbitos de la vida.
En este contexto global y de manera específica en el ámbito educativo, la tecnología ofrece nuevos entornos y herramientas pedagógicas a disposición de profesores y alumnos, actuando como promotores y gestores de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
En el presente estudio se realiza un análisis exhaustivo de la evolución, la implementación y la influencia del uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación (TIC) en contextos educativos a nivel internacional.
