Abstract
In the present study I use the Kolb Learning Style Inventory to determine the preferences of learning of the students of the first and fourth year of physical education of the UMCE and the UISEK of the city of Santiago of Chile. The sample is constituted by 254 students. The style more frequent of fourth year in both universities was the divergent one. In the first year the UMCE shows a preference to the divergent and the UISEK to the usher. They do not appreciate differences between the sex of both institutions. It is interesting to see as the vocational training of the career orientates his students towards a preferential way of learning that it is compatible with the profession, still when from the revenue the trends are different in two institutions of different nature as private and state entities. It would be necessary to extend these investigations to the career of physical education of other universities of Santiago and other regions of Chile.
