Resumen
Para conocer los estilos de aprendizaje de los alumnos de la carrera de Biología de la Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, se aplicó a una población de 221 alumnos la modalidad del cuestionario de Reid, 1993. El resultado muestra seis diferentes estilos en donde cuatro se consideran como los de mayor preferencia siendo éstos: visual, táctil, kinestésico y grupal. Asociado a éstos resultados, los alumnos refieren sus preferencias en cuanto a las actividades que realizan en clase. Este trabajo pretende proporcionar elementos al docente para el diseño de la metodología de enseñanza más adecuada, que permita optimizar el estilo de aprendizaje de sus estudiantes y alcanzar un mayor logro cognitivo.
EXPLORATION THE LEARNING STYLES OF STUDENTS OF THE CAREER OF BIOLOGY
Abstract
To know the learning styles of the students of the Biology Program of the Higher Studies Faculty Iztacala of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Reid questionnaire, 1993. Modality was applied to a sample of 221 students. The results show six different styles wherein four are considered to be of higher preference, being these: visual, tactile, kinesthetic and group learning. Associated to these results, the students refer their preferences based on the activities performed in the class. This work has the intention of providing elements to the teacher for the design of the most adequate teaching methodology, that enables optimizing the learning style of his/her students and attaining a higher cognitive achievement.
