METACOGNITION IN POSTGRADE STUDENTS LEARNING STYLES DURING THE TESIS PERFORMANCE. CASE: RAFAEL MARÍA BARALT UNIVERSITY (UNERMB)
ABSTRACT
The main objective of this research was to determine metacognition in learning styles in postgrade students while performing their tesis at the Rafael Maria Barallt University (UNERMB), Venezuela. A descriptive methodology was used. A questionnaire, made by the researchers, with 32 questions using Lickert scales, was applied to determine metacognitive strategies used by these students. Descriptive statistics, which includes median, mode, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, was applied by using Microsoft Office Excel 2003. This program allowed to express qualitatively all the results. Answers given by the inquired students are presented in absolute (fa) and percentage (%) ciphers. Results demonstrate these students have a high metacognitive level about their own mental activities in all their learning style proccess.
