Resumen:
La adaptación y preparación, tanto por parte de los profesores como de los estudiantes, al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, supone un reto y al mismo tiempo una investigación permanente. Este artículo pretende mostrar algunas pinceladas de una experiencia piloto desarrollada con un grupo numeroso de estudiantes en la asignatura de primer curso, Fundamentos Matemáticos, de una Escuela Técnica y con la participación de dos profesores. Todo ello, tomando como referencia los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes y sus implicaciones a lo largo del curso en diversas actuaciones que fomenten el trabajo autónomo, el trabajo en equipo y exposiciones orales, entre otros, para lograr los objetivos en términos de competencias generales y específicas.
LEARNING STYLES AND THE EUROPEAN HIGHER EDUCATIOIN SPACE. A NEW APPROACH TO THE MATHS LESSON
Abstract:
Meeting the standards of the European Higher Education Space involves a challenge and also the need for day-to-day research and updating, both for lecturers and for students. This paper aims to show the preliminary results obtained from a pilot experience conducted with a population sample including first year students of the course Mathematical Principles as part of the Building Construction Engineering syllabus. Based on the analysis of the students’ learning styles, two lecturers of the course applied innovative methods conducive to promoting self-learning, team-work and oral presentation of concepts, amongst others, in order to attain in terms of general and specific competences.
