Learning Styles: Questionnaire CHAEA adapted to the Portuguese Language
Abstract: A challenge always present in a person’s life is trying to know oneself, people with whom they are related or intend to socialize. One way of responding to this challenge is based on knowledge of the predominant styles of learning in each person. In this article, apart from the concept of the style of learning, its identification and characterization, we present the adaptation and validation of the questionnaire Honey-Alonso of the Learning Styles, Questionnaire Honey-Alonso of Styles of Learning (CHAEA), for Portuguese language. Within the adaptation of the questionnaire, the validation process, as well as the procedures and criteria that allow use in real contexts is highlighted. Still highlighted are the main characteristics associated to people with high preference levels in the following styles: activist, reflector, theorist and pragmatist. In short, the version of the questionnaire CHAEA for Portuguese language is a tool for collecting data, about the characteristics of people associated with the referred styles, formed by 80 items, 20 for each style of learning, randomized by questionnaire.
