En este trabajo se estudió la relación entre estilos de aprendizaje y promedio académico, de los estudiantes matriculados para el periodo académico B del 2010 en el programa de bacteriología y laboratorio clínico de la universidad de Santander sede Valledupar, con el propósito de atender la diversidad y la individualidad en el aula de clase, para que partiendo del conocimiento de los perfiles de aprendizaje y a través de estrategias didácticas adecuadas se logre llevar al estudiante aprender a aprender y pueda alcanzar sus competencias profesionales con alto desempeño.
El objetivo era caracterizar los estilos de aprendizaje y establecer si existía un estilo predominante, relacionado con el promedio académico alto.
Se utilizó como instrumento el cuestionario CHAEA para caracterizar los estilos de aprendizaje de los 242 estudiantes; el estilo predominante para promedio alto, medio y bajo correspondió al Reflexivo.
