Universal Design for Learning (UDL) offers an adaptive structure that allows its application in diverse and constantly changing educational contexts. This systematic review (n=50) aimed to analyze the academic production on UDL in Scopus, considering its accessibility, impact and evolution. It showed a limited availability of literature in open access, as well as an uneven distribution of impact, reflected in citations concentrated in certain studies. In terms of its evolution, a sustained and trans-territorial expansion was observed, especially since the pandemic period. In conclusion, the implementation of the UDL presents diverse approaches, with an orientation towards second-order learning, although proposals are emerging that link it to more transformative formative processes. However, equitable access to knowledge about the model remains a challenge, which affects disciplines unequally.
