This article aims to present part of the results of doctoral research that studies the impact of learning styles once addressed in distance learning courses. To that end, the research aims to develop a course that is adapted to a Virtual Learning Environment and that is able to adapt to each individual learning style, thus helping in the construction of knowledge of the individuals who work in distance learning. The research was carried out by means of a case study developed at the Institute. Focused in teacher training, The course Didactic Material Project was offered. After the data analysis, it was observed that all students had successfully finished the course. However, the group, which was working in a adapted environment, had 13.78% higher performance in comparison with the group that was working in an environment that was not adapted to the theory. In addition, the class with a personalized environment also stood out in terms of interaction with the virtual environment. They had 49.53% more interaction than the classroom without the adapted environment.
